Father's Day Activities for every kind of Dad

With just a couple of weeks left to go, you may be wondering what kind of Father's Day Activities are the best ways to celebrate your special Dad or Granddad. When we launched our 2019 collection of Father's Day gifts and clothing, we introduced our 'Gift Finder' which suggests the best gifts for different kinds of Dads. Using our gift finder categories, here are some of our favourite suggestions for creating a fun Father's Day to remember!

Celebrate the Cooking Dad

Take control of the kitchen (after all, this is the one day Dad should be taking a break!) and challenge the children to a family bake-off! Let Dad be the judge and take a blind taste test with the results. If your cooking Dad is a bit of a prankster why not add a few 'mystery bakes' into the mix? Red velvet and chilli cupcakes, anyone?

Celebrate the First-Time Dad

If he's experiencing Father's Day for the first time, then this Dad is bursting with pride and excitement for the journey ahead. It's highly likely both parents are suffering from a lack of sleep and the new arrival is no doubt still very popular with all the wider family too, so why not book a nice family meal at a favourite pub or restaurant? With no cooking or washing up, you can be sure to get home in time for some much-needed relaxation and an early night!

Celebrate the Memory-Maker Dad

As Father's Day falls in June, with any luck the summer weather will be on your side so, with that in mind, we thought a family day out is one of the best Father's Day Activities for making new memories. How about a day at the beach? Take plenty of photos and collect shells to take home and make into a scrapbook or memory box. Why not add some pictures or paintings hand drawn by the children? Special family days like this deserve to be remembered.

Celebrate the 'On-The'Go' Dad

Because this Dad is up for an outdoor challenge of a more physical nature, why not spend the day geocaching or on a scavenger hunt? Invent your own or why not find an existing hunt in your local area? We love these family adventures from Treasure Trails, they make for great family adventures for experienced and budding explorers alike!

Celebrate the Relaxed Dad

Father's Day Activities for some may be a little more on the active side, but for the Dad who loves nothing more than a touch of luxury, there's nothing more relaxing than a home spa treatment. Even if as far as he's concerned that simply means a pyjama day spent putting his feet up and taking control of the TV, why not take it a step further? Perhaps the children can whip up a homemade face mask for him or treat him to some healthy snacks with smoothies made from scratch? Maybe Dad would even like a pedicure, complete with painted toes?!

Celebrate the Twinning Dad

There's only one suggestion we could think of that adequately honours this Dad's sense of family pride. Organise a family photo shoot and get the entire family dressed up for the occasion in matching outfits. It's sure to make his heart swell!

However you decide to celebrate your special Dad this Father's Day, we hope you create special memories that last forever!
