We've been in the business of creating family gifts for 12 years now. Like any small business owners, our work-life balance is hugely important because, with so many areas of responsibility, it often feels like juggling sixty-million plates all at the same time. Sometimes the plates wobble a bit too much. Occasionally one falls and we have to clear up and keep going. But, because we are a family business, the bonds that keep us together in life, keep us together in work. We love one another, we help one another and together we're making our way through this journey called life and we consider ourselves very lucky.

That's why we truly believe we've been able to create the kind of personalised gifts and clothing our customers love, for 12 years. Our personal experiences have shaped our approach and inspired some of our most popular designs. Our family gifts have been created to celebrate every moment and milestone families share with one another and besides the birthdays, weddings, new babies and anniversaries we keep finding inspiration for new ones all the time. Even riding out the difficult moments in life can sometimes be made more bearable with a gift and our own stories of struggle and triumph have been an influence.

Family Is... Who We Are

Sparks and Daughters aren't just Deborah (@nannasparks) and Verity (@mummasparks) - and Tilly of course! The whole family is involved. From Deborah's husband Jon who in the early days of the business helped in every way imaginable around a very busy job of his own, to Verity's husband Lex who joined the business five years ago and taught himself to code so he could build the website we have today! We've been together through all of life's ups and downs and we work to support each other in everything.

Family is... Where We Spend Our Time

The Somerset countryside is our home. Being surrounded by nature and animals is how we've always wanted to live and raise a family. The beautiful surroundings inspire creativity and can be found in may of our designs.

Family is... Contributing To The Entire Process

As we've grown as a business, we've been fortunate to remain a part of the process from concept to final product. We still do all of our own photography and make ourselves available to our team at busy times to help them with whatever they need in the studio.

Family is... Important To Our Customers

We have been able to help customers find the perfect gifts for their loved ones because as a family business we know what’s important to them. We know our customer. Her family is her lifeblood and her home is her heart.

She prefers items that are well-crafted, likes to shop small and consume slowly.

One of the best ways we've seen our Sparks Family grow even further is through the relationships we have built with customers and fans of our brand online. It's been a privilege to see customers enjoying our products and sharing their special moments and celebrations in photos an on social media.

Family is... Supporting Our Community

We are so much about our community and have supported a number of local projects. Our Message of Strength Scarf has raised more than £500 and counting for the wonderful Maggies Cancer Centres. Our clothing samples and seconds are donated to RAFT, a local charity for refugees in Europe and this year we are holding our second annual Toddle Waddle for Meningitis Now, having raised over £500 in 2018.
