Stamped Wrapping Paper - Christmas Craft

Here’s what you will need for this Christmas craft:

A few bottle corks – the fatter the better!

Craft Foam Sheets

Glue

Scissors

A pen

Paints

Plain Parcel Paper

Using the pen, draw around the cork to see how big your design should be and then draw your design inside the circle.

With the scissors, carefully cut out the shape. We wanted the stamp to be a little thicker, so we drew around the shape on the craft foam again and cut a second one.

Basic shapes with clean lines work best because not only are they easier to draw and cut, they also produce a cleaner-looking shape when stamping later on.

With the glue, carefully layer and stick the shapes on to the end of the cork and leave to dry. To make sure the stamps remain secure, it is best to leave them drying for at least a few hours or better still, overnight.

With the stamps fully dried, Tilly was able to get creative and stamp out a pretty pattern on the parcel paper. What’s so great about this craft is that it’s so quick and fun, but with lots of wrapping paper to be made, the fun doesn’t stop too soon!

The finished paper looked great and Tilly was very pleased with how it looked. But if you ask me, I think she probably had more interest in what was inside the box.
