This Christmas sees a number of new designs from the Sparks and Daughters Studio, created by both Deborah (@nannasparks) and Verity (@mummasparks). As always, their inspiration comes from real-life stories. Their surroundings and the conversations that happen between mother and daughter.

Verity's newest illustrations, the Christmas Rabbit and the Christmas Dinosaur Family, are inspired by personal memories and in this blog, she explains the story behind them.

The Christmas Rabbit

"Earlier this year, we moved into a new home out in the Somerset countryside. Our home is at the end of a long track and we often spot rabbits hopping up and down the driveway, munching on the grasses and plants that grow along the edges. Tilly and I spent all summer looking out for them, every time we travelled up and down the drive, in the car or on foot. Typically for a three-year-old, Tilly was always excited whenever we saw one. Our rabbit hunts are a precious memory that I wanted to commemorate in a new design. The Christmas Rabbit looks just like the ones at home, and takes the memory of our adventure from the Summer into the Winter." - Verity

The Christmas Dinosaur Family

"As well as a love for rabbits, Tilly also adores Dinosaurs. It's not uncommon to find a T-Rex dining alongside woodland creatures at her toy tea-parties. As a child, I too had a curious imagination when it came to animals. I loved to (and still do) picture them doing human things, like shopping or celebrating a birthday. The Christmas Dinosaur Family represent that part of my own imagination. With their antlers and snazzy Christmas jumpers, it's proof-positive that even Dinosaurs love Christmas too". - Verity
